Mobile to Lake Charles

We were up early to shower, eat, walk the dogs and pack up. With the car loaded and the dogs in the backseat in their beds we hit the freeway at 8:45am headed for Lake Charles. We made two stops, one planned (lunch) and one unplanned. The unplanned stop entitled me to a discussion with one of Louisiana's finest SHP officers. Other than that we stayed on the freeway the whole time and made it to the La Quinta Inn in Lake Charles around 3pm.

We tried to relax for an hour then decided to give both girls a bath. With that out of the way we decided to head for dinner and went into town to Steamboat Bill's where we had Gumbo and Shrimp. Both very good but still not up to Tina's offerings.

After dinner we stopped at a park along the Lake and took the dogs for a long walk and watched the sun set. Very nice!

Once back at the Inn we took he rest of the night off.
