Bellefonte KOA

Cinco de Mayo

YEA!! It's not raining! And it's in the mid 50's! Today we are driving to Bellefonte, just northeast of State College, smack in the middle of the state and about 250 miles west of New York City.

Since it's only about 140 miles we take our time and get on the road around 9:30 AM headed for Gettysburg. We drive into town and take the first right off the roundabout headed for Harrisburg where we stop for gas.

Back on the road we bypass Harrisburg and cut up PA-322 towards Bellefonte. The road is dry, traffic is light and its an easy drive.

We pull off the road at Lewiston for lunch, eating in rather than going out. Since we parked next to a grocery store, Tina went in and grabbed some strawberry's and pound cake for tonight's desert.

Back on the road we make the final forty miles up to Hwy 220, head east to Jacksonville Rd and pull in to the KOA about 2:30 PM. After checking in we got set up and took the dogs for a walk. Tomorrow we plan to hunt down some more covered bridges.
