Man it got cold last night. There was frost on the ground when the kids and I went for their morning walk at seven this morning. It was clear overnight and even though the sun was up I had my jacket and gloves on. After breakfast we started working on plans for things to do in the area as well as what activities we wanted to participate in.
After lunch, we went for a bike ride to the Dade Battleground State Park about two miles from the RV Campground. The park is located on the actual site of the battle that started the Second Seminole War. On December 28, 1835, Seminole Indian warriors ambushed 108 soldiers at this site - only three soldiers survived (http://www.dadebattlefield.com/). After stopping to visit the History Museum we went into Bushnell and rode around town before heading back to the coach.
After dinner, Tina went to play cards while I joined three other men for team "One-Fifteen" Eight Ball. This seems to be a popular version of American Eight-Ball where the one ball has to go in the left center pocket and the fifteen in the opposite side pocket (the other balls can go anywhere), before shooting the eight ball. Good times!!
