Day Two and Three in Kissimmee

Tuesday the 3rd and Wednesday the 4th

The weather is still holding in the high seventy’s and slightly cloudy. Very nice.

We spent yesterday getting the new coach set up the way we want with some shopping at Target in the morning and getting a new mattress delivered in the afternoon.

Today was dedicated to swapping the truck for a 2009 Hyundai Sonata GLS. We had five to look at so we started around 9:30 AM and headed for our first stop. Following a test drive and some number crunching we thanked the sales people and headed to the next stop about ten miles NE of Orlando.

We got there around 11:30 AM and found a very nice car with 14,200 miles on it (these are all fleet cars bought at auction), with a clean interior, sun roof and several other goodies. After taking it for a test drive we asked the salesman to put together their best offer while we went to lunch.

After arriving back at the dealership we haggled over price and value (for our truck) for half an hour before reaching a satisfactory deal. But it took another two hours for them to get all the paperwork done. It was just about 4:30 PM before we got out of there with our new car and headed back to the KOA.

We had left the kids in the motor home with the AC set but didn’t really expect to be gone that long. Fortunately they had managed to hold out until we got home and could take them for a walk. They were very good kids!!

Tomorrow we get the new car set up for towing at Camping World then it’s off to Juno Beach and a chance to start really relaxing!! Bike rides, beach walks and other touristy things!!

Stay tuned...
