Tallahassee to Orlando

Sunday the 1st

We woke up early - I thought it was 7:15 AM, Tina reminded me of the time change - it was 6:15 AM. Oh well, we got up and decided to make an early start so we went to breakfast at Shony's and were on the road by 7:30 AM. Since it was a short day, we made it to Orlando by noon and parked at MFT Enterprises where we were to pick up the motorhome.

We walked onto the lot and met the owner, Matt, his wife Karen and their business partner Duane. They were prepping another RV that was being delivered and since we were early we spent some time visiting while our rig was prepped. Since we had time, everybody went to lunch at the local Chipolte which was real good.

After lunch there were several items that still needed to be done before we could take the rig. While we waited for a couple of parts to arrive, Matt, Tina and I took a test drive to get propane and deisel. After we got back we started to unload the truck and put things away for travel. Around 3:00 PM Tina decided to drive to Costco and pick up a few items. Since the oil filter, air filter and fuel filter still needed to be changed, Brian who works for Matt part time agreed to stay late and get those things done. Since it was late, Tina and I agreed to stay over night and do a final check in the morning before heading out.

We spent the evening trying to organize a few things but eventually we pooped out, so I took the dogs for one last walk and we called it a night, camping out in the MFT Enterprises lot!!

Distance traveled today, 265 miles. Total for the trip so far, 3,657 miles.
