Juno Beach - Day 6

Friday the 13th

We were up early and it was chilly in the coach, probably around 56 degrees so I put the furnace on for fifteen minutes, just enough to warm things up for Tina when she got up. I turned the coffee on while the kids and I went for their morning constitutional, leaving Tina to snooze a little longer.

We had a pretty good plan for today – find a small table, replace the Hide-A-Bed mattress and tour the Morikami Gardens. Being a planner and really well organized (heh, heh), I mapped out a route to get us to all the places we wanted to go then had breakfast.

Leaving Juno Beach we headed south towards West Palm Beach then cut inland to go to Marshalls to look for a small table for the coach. We need something to set the printer on when needed and a small lightweight table is easy to store for traveling but nice to have for setting drinks or books on when lying on the couch.

Arriving at our first stop we toured the store and were really disappointed. There wasn’t anything available to meet our needs. Oh well, there are plenty of opportunities to shop. We’ll find something. So off we went to our next stop, La-Z-Boy Furniture in Wellington.

We made the fifteen mile drive and got to the location identified by google. Nothing. There was a huge shopping center but we couldn’t locate the place even though we had the address. Finally, we stopped at Dillards and asked for help. The clerk said it was here in the mall somewhere. We drove around some more. Then we pulled into Walgreens for help. Yes, it’s in the mall.

So we parked and went into the mall where we found an information kiosk. Nope. It’s not in the mall. Turns out it is on the backside of the mall. So it was back to the car and drive around the back and there it was, yahoo!!

We went in, purchased a replacement mattress for delivery next week, then headed out to find the Morikami Gardens, another twenty miles south in the Del Ray Beach area. Even with directions, we never found the cross street so we finally gave up, had lunch in Del Ray and drove home.

We spent the rest of the day enjoying the sun, taking a couple of walks and relaxing with our books and the dogs. Later that evening after dinner I went up to the club house and shot pool for a couple of hours.

No photos today.
